Centella asiatica contains the compound Asiaticoside, which possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Asiaticoside administration at HED = 1.62 mg/kg bw. after 24 hours can reduce inflammation. (Cheng, C. L. et al., 2004) Additionally, Asiaticoside dosage at HED = 0.16 mg/kg bw. for 7 days has been shown to alleviate gastric ulcers and accelerate wound healing in the stomach. (Wan, J. et al., 2013)
