Efficiency Dose:
Participants aged 70-83 years with photoaging skin condition applied lotion containing 25% Citric acid (AHA) to the left forearm compared to a placebo lotion applied to the right forearm over a period of 6 months. It was found that the AHA lotion increased the thickness of the epidermis by approximately 25%. Additionally, there was an increase in acid mucopolysaccharides in the dermal papillary layer, improvement in the quality of elastic fibers, and an increase in collagen density without any observed inflammation.
