Efficiency Dose:
Banana flowers contain β-carotene, a compound present in human milk (Dan et al., 2014; Canfield et al., 1998). Studies show consuming 250g banana flower stew for 7 days (Yimyam et al., 2023) or banana flower extract at 500mg/kg bodyweight for 14 days in rats (HED = 81.08mg/kg) (A Mahmood et al., 2012) increased milk production in lactating mothers/rats.
