Sea grape seaweed extract contains Zeaxanthin and β-Carotene, which act as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds. Additionally, there are research reports suggesting that it can also help combat obesity. In a study conducted on genetically modified obese mice, the administration of a 250 mg/kg body weight extract (HED = 20.27 mg/kg) of sea grape seaweed for a period of 6 weeks was found to lower fasting glucose levels in the blood and reduce insulin resistance.
