Research & Approved Uses
Efficiency Dose:
Rats fed a high-cholesterol diet were orally administered chlorogenic acid at a dosage of 10 mg/kg/day (HED = 1.62 mg/kg/day) for 28 days. The results showed that chlorogenic acid lowered cholesterol levels and reduced fatty liver by increasing the gene expression of PPAR-α in hypercholesterolemic rats induced with a high-cholesterol diet.
