In the Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) test, α-Mangostin rich extract 1.0 μg/ml, with a concentration of 60.93% α-Mangostin (0.6093 μg/ml α-Mangostin), exhibited anti-Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) activity comparable to Amoxicillin at 1 mg/ml (positive control), inhibiting P. acnes growth.
